Ritual headdress from a Taoist shaman of the Dao Đỏ (Red Dao) people. Constructed with six reversible panels over seven constant ones; all portraying a variety of Taoist dignitaries and the phoenix bird; painted on hand-made mulberry-bark paper.

Woman's headdress made from mock horsehair (probably nylon & other mixed fibres - but previously, horse-hair). Topped with central ornamental aluminum basket tray feature (previously silver)
